Land Bank Of Taiwan, Referred To As Land Bank, Is A Large Bank In Taiwan. It Is One Of The "eight Major Banks" In Taiwan. The Head Office Is Located On Guanqian Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, And The Assets Rank Fifth In The Domestic Banks Of The Republic Of China. Founded In 1946. It Was Established By Restructuring Five Stores Of The Former Japan Quanye Bank In Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan And Kaohsiung During The Japanese Occupation. As Of 2018, There Are 162 Branches Worldwide.
Tainan Branch
- On September 1, 1946 (the 35th Year Of The Republic Of China), In Order To Cooperate With The Implementation Of Land Policies Such As Equal Land Rights And Land For The Cultivator In Taiwan, The Government Of The Republic Of China Took The Five Branches (branches) Of The Former Nippon Quanye Bank In Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan And Kaohsiung During The Japanese Occupation Of Taiwan As Its Base And Established The Taiwan Land Bank. The Head Office Was Located In The Taipei Branch Of The Former Quanye Bank.
- On February 1, 1947 (the 36th Year Of The Republic Of China), The Chiayi Office Of Land Bank Was Established To Receive The Business Premises Of Taiwan Quanye Co., Ltd.
- On November 29, 1947, Land Bank Was Cleared To Receive The Five Branches Of Japan Quanye Bank In Taiwan.
- In 1948 (the 37th Year Of The Republic Of China) Land Bank Formed The Land Bank Baseball Team And Played An Important "Banking Association Baseball Game" In The Early History Of Taiwanese Baseball With Five Other Bank Baseball Teams (sponsored By The Taipei City Banking And Business Association, Also Known As The Six Banks Library Baseball Game); In 1962, The Land Bank Baseball Team Was Disbanded.
- In 1949 (the 38th Year Of The Republic Of China) Taiwan Began To Implement The "Three Seventy-Five" Rent Reduction, And Land Bank Was Ordered To Handle The Loan For The Purchase Of Land To Support Self-employed Farmers.
- In March 1960 (the 49th Year Of The Republic Of China), Land Bank Was Entrusted By The Taiwan Provincial Government To Develop The Liudu Industrial Zone In Qidu District, Keelung City, Taiwan Province, Which Was The First Place For The Development Of Taiwan's Industrial Zone.
- On November 4, 1975 (Republic Of China 64), The "Banking Law" Was Amended And Implemented, And The Ministry Of Finance Designated Land Bank As A Real Estate Credit Bank And Agricultural Credit Business.
- In 1985 (Republic Of China 74) Land Bank Obtained The Status Of A Legal Person.
- On June 21, 1995 (Republic Of China 84), Land Bank Launched An International Credit Card Business.
- On January 23, 1997 (Republic Of China 86), The Official Website Of Land Bank (www.landbank.com.tw) Was Launched.
- On December 21, 1998 (Republic Of China 87), Land Bank Was Transferred To The Ministry Of Finance Due To The Implementation Of The Regulations Of The Ministry Of Fine Arts.
- On December 29, 1999 (Republic Of China 88), The Ministry Of Finance Announced The Merger Of Land Bank With The Bank Of Taiwan And The Central Trust Bureau. After That, The Bank Of Taiwan Merged With The Central Trust Bureau, And Land Bank Did Not Participate.
- On September 14, 2001 (Republic Of China 90), Land Bank Generally Accepted The Credit Department Of Fengyuan Farmers' Association In Taichung County, The Credit Department Of Fangliao Township Farmers' Association In Pingtung County, The Credit Department Of Gaoshu Township Farmers' Association In Pingtung County, And The Credit Department Of Kinmen County Farmers' Association.
- On July 1, 2003 (Republic Of China 92), Land Bank Was Restructured Into A Joint Stock Company Of Taiwan Land Bank In Line With The Privatization Policy Of Public Enterprises.
- On May 21, 2004 (Republic Of China 93), Land Bank Was Approved To Be Restructured Into A Public Distribution Company.
- On October 6, 2009 (Republic Of China 98), Land Bank Established The Securities Department.
- On February 21, 2010 (Republic Of China 99), The National Taiwan Museum Opened The Land Bank Exhibition Hall. The Museum Is Located In The Old Building Of Quanye Bank, And The Property Rights Remain With Land Bank.
