How MultiCharts Got Started
In 1999, Dennis Globa And His Friends Became Interested In Forex Trading. At That Time, Algorithmic Trading Was New, Only A Few Trading Platforms Existed, And Each Platform Had Limited Functionality. Globa's Main Focus Was To Combine Third-party Historical Data With Real-time Data. Unfortunately, Competing Technical Analysis Platforms Tried To Stay Original - Trying To Gain Market Share By Forcing Consumers To Accept One Platform As The Preferred Criterion. Unfortunately, This Prevented Users From Completing Many Seemingly Simple Tasks. Instead, Users Had To Search For Solutions. From This Confusion, The Idea Of Creating Utilities To Improve The Functionality Of The Existing Trading Platform Was Born.
During This Time, UniServer And OwnData Were Created, Which Made TradeStation A More Open Platform, But Globa And His Friends, Like Many TradeStation Users, Still Asked For Portfolio Analysis. His First Idea Was To Create An Add-on For TradeStation. However, A Closer Look Reveals That TradeStation's Building Principles Do Not Allow For Realistic Simulations, As Charts Cannot Pass Information To Each Other And Receive Feedback.
It Is Clear That There Will Always Be Some Limitations That Can Only Be Corrected Through The New Platform. At The Same Time, Globa's Team Doesn't Want To Repeat The Industry Mistake Of Creating Another Platform That Requires Users To Give Up Accumulated Knowledge And Habits. The Solution Is Simple. MultiCharts Will Improve On The Existing Industry Standard TradeStation's EasyLanguage By Removing Constraints That Are Not In The Best Interests Of Users.
