How It Works
UniSat Wallet Is A Public-private Key Encryption System Based On The Bitcoin Blockchain. It Adopts A Self-escrow Architecture To Ensure That Users Control Assets. Its Working Principle Is As Follows:
Wallet Creation
- Users Download And Install UniSat Wallet Through The Chrome Extension.
- When Creating A New Wallet, A 12-word Seed Phrase (BIP-39 Standard) Is Generated, And The User Needs To Save It Safely.
- After Setting The Password, The Wallet Generates The Private Key Locally, And The Developer Has No Access Rights.
Asset Management
- The Wallet Queries Balance, Transaction And NFT Data Through The Bitcoin Node, And Supports Ordinals And BRC-20 Tokens.
- Users Can View Real-time Balances And Transaction History, And Manage Asset Portfolios.
Transaction Execution
- The User Initiates The Transaction (e.g. Sending, Exchanging), The Wallet Generates The Signature (via The Private Key), Broadcasts It To The Bitcoin Network, And The Nodes Verify And Upload It To The Chain.
- Support The Buying, Selling And Transferring Of BRC-20 Tokens Directly In The Wallet.
NFT Inscription
- Users Can Inscribe Ordinals Directly In The Wallet, Without Running A Full Node, Simplifying The NFT Creation Process.
- The Engraved NFT Is Stored In The User's UniSat Wallet And Can Be Viewed And Managed At Any Time.
DApp Interaction
- Connect To The DApp Via Web3 Browser Or WalletConnect. The User Authorizes The Operation And Needs To Manually Confirm The Transaction.
- Supports DeFi, NFT And Other DApps Of The Bitcoin Ecosystem.
Security Guarantees
- Local Storage Of Private Keys, Emphasizing Backup Seed Phrases.
- Plans To Support Hardware Wallets For Enhanced Security.
Cross-platform Support
- Currently Only Supports Chrome Extensions, And May Expand To Other Browsers Or Platforms In The Future.
