Iron ore prices are lower in early Asian trade amid pressures from the ongoing uncertainties surrounding global tariffs. The fundamentals of iron ore are relatively healthy with solid demand, but the prices are weighed by macroeconomic uncertainties, CITIC Futures analysts write in a note. In the mid and long term, supply pressures and macro policies may drag on prices further, they say. The most-traded iron ore contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange is down 0.7% at CNY725.50 a ton.
