Dutch Inflation Rate Confirmed at 3.7% in March
The annual inflation rate in the Netherlands was confirmed at 3.7% in March 2025, slightly down from 3.8% in the previous month.
Price growth for food and non-alcoholic beverages eased to 3.9% from 4.3% in February, while transport inflation slowed to 1% from 1.2%.
Costs also rose at a softer pace for clothing and footwear (0.2% vs 0.5%), and recreation and culture (2.9% vs 3.5%).
This was partially offset by higher inflation for housing and utilities (4% vs. 3.9%), and for upholstery and household appliances (1.9% vs. 0.5%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices grew by 0.4%, moderating from a seven-month high of 1.1% in February.
The harmonized CPI, used for EU-wide comparisons, rose 3.4% year-on-year in March, following a 3.5% increase in the prior period.
