PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
Poland's ruling Civic Coalition candidate, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, leads opinion polls ahead of the May 18 presidential election with 36.2% support, according to an IBRiS poll published on Tuesday by Rzeczpospolita daily.
AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
On Tuesday, at 1300, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Finance Andrzej Domanski will meet with representatives of the automotive industry. The meeting will focus on the situation after the introduction of new tariffs by the U.S.
U.S. TARIFFS
Tariffs imposed by the U.S. on imports of cars and parts for their production will cost the Polish automotive industry about $162 million, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, citing data from the business intelligence agency Dun&Bradstreet.
