Taipei Star Bank Enterprise Introduction

Rui Xing Commercial Bank, Referred To As Rui Xing Bank, Is A Small Commercial Bank In Northern Taiwan. It Is Currently The Smallest Of The Domestic Banks, With A Net Worth Difference Of 66 Times That Of The Largest Taiwan Cooperative Bank. The Bank Was Originally Founded In 1917 As "Taipei Daojiang Credit Union" In Dadaocheng, Taipei City, And Has Undergone Many Restructuring And Name Changes Such As Taipei First Credit Cooperative, Daojiang Commercial Bank, And Greater Taipei Commercial Bank. Due To Its Predecessor As A Credit Union, There Are Regional Business Restrictions, So Today's Business Base Is Almost Located In Taipei City, With Branches Only In Zhonghe District, New Taipei City And Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City.

History

On October 25, 1917, "Taipei Daojiang Credit Union" Was Established And Began Business At No. 28, Chenghuangmiao Front Street, Dadaocheng (now Near Dihua Street).

In 1945, Taipei Daojiang Credit Union Was Renamed "Daojiang Credit Union". In 1947, Daojiang Credit Union Was Renamed "Taipei First Credit Cooperative". In 1965, Taipei First Credit Cooperative Was Renamed "Guaranteed Responsibility Taipei First Credit Cooperative". In 2004, Guaranteed Responsibility Taipei First Credit Cooperative Was Renamed "Limited Responsibility Taipei First Credit Cooperative".

On July 1, 2007, Taipei First Credit Cooperative Was Restructured Into A Bank And Resumed Using The Original Name Of "Daojiang" To Become "Daojiang Commercial Bank"; After The Restructuring, The Largest Shareholder Was Shinkong Synthetic Fibers, Holding 13% Of The Shares. On December 3 Of The Same Year, The Shares Of Daojiang Commercial Bank Were Listed In Xingju Stock Trading, And The Shares Held By Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Were Also Directly Acquired To Reach The 25% Limit Stipulated In The Banking Law.

A Branch Of Greater Taipei Bank In 2009

Due To Shareholders' Dissatisfaction With The Name "Daojiang", Daojiang Commercial Bank Changed Its Name To "Greater Taipei Commercial Bank" On January 1, 2009 As Its Main Business Area Is Located In The Taipei Metropolitan Area; But It Was Also Sued By Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank On The Grounds That The Trademark Name Was Too Similar. Greater Taipei Bank Won The First Instance In 2010, But Lost Both The 2nd-round Moderation In 2011 And The 3rd-round Moderation On April 29, 2013. Therefore, On October 13, 2013, Greater Taipei Bank Was Renamed "Rui Xing Commercial Bank" Again, And The English Name "Bank Of Taipei" Remained Unchanged. On May 30, 2016, The English Name Of Rui Xing Commercial Bank Was Changed To "Taipei Star Bank".

On October 4, 2018, Rui Xing Bank Partnered With EasyCard Corporation To Jointly Launch Taiwan's First EasyCard Financial Card For People Under The Age Of 20 Or Without A Credit Card.
