Development History

Asia Pacific Bank Phase

Formerly Known As Asia Pacific Commercial Bank Initiated By Chiu Chia-hsiung, It Was Officially Established On January 14, 1992. The Investors Are Mainly Individual Shareholders. The Head Office Is Located In Taichung City. It Initially Took Taichung As The Main Development Area And Started Business On February 12, 1992. The Stock Was Listed On October 12, 1995 And Re-listed On October 16, 1998.

Fubon Bank Phase

On August 1, 2002, Asia Pacific Bank Converted 1 Share Of Fubon Financial Holding Company With 1.387 Shares, Becoming A Subsidiary Of Fubon Financial Holding Company. At The Same Time, The Head Office Was Moved To Taipei City; And On October 21 Of The Same Year, It Was Renamed Fubon Commercial Bank In Line With The Name Of Financial Holdings.

On January 10, 2005, Fubon Commercial Bank Acquired Tainan City Seventh Credit Union For NT $289 Million, Increasing The Number Of Branches To 58.

On December 23, 2005, Fubon Commercial Bank Acquired Tainan No. 6 Credit Union For NT $541 Million, Increasing The Number Of Branches To 70.

Yuanta Bank Phase

In 2006, Yuanta Core Pacific Securities Took Over The Management Of Fubon Financial Holding. Fubon Financial Holding Changed Its Name To Yuanta Financial Holding Company On September 26, 2007, And Its Businesses Also Changed To Use The "Yuanta" Brand, So Fubon Commercial Bank Was Renamed Yuanta Commercial Bank.

On October 27, 2009, Yuanta Commercial Bank Acquired The Assets, Liabilities And Operations Of 18 Domestic Branches Of Kao Fong Commercial Bank, Which Were Auctioned By Central Deposit Insurance Corporation.

On September 26, 2016, Yuanta Commercial Bank Renamed Its First Overseas Subsidiary In The Philippines "Tong Yang Savings Bank" To "Yuanta Savings Bank (Philippines) "; In The Same Year, It Acquired 100% Equity Of HanShin Savings Bank And 100% Equity Of Ta Chong Bankings In South Korea For KRW 135.102 Billion And NT $56.5 Billion.

On February 15, 2017, HanShin Savings Bank Was Renamed "Yuanta Savings Bank Korea".

On January 1, 2018, Ta Chong Bank Was Officially Merged Into Yuanta Bank. After The Merger, Yuanta Bank's Total Assets Reached NT $1.26 Trillion And Its Domestic Business Locations Reached 152.
