Alpha Coefficient Bank (Alpha Τράπεζα Α.Ε.), is the second largest bank in Greece, after the National Bank of Greece. There are 450 branches in the country. In 1879, Alpha Coefficient Bank was established and is controlled by the Costopoulos family. The current chairperson is Ioannis Costopoulos, grandson of the bank's founder, John F. Costopoulos.
